Great value for money with spacious and bright rooms, a private bathroom, and a comfortable bed. The location is excellent, with both Hiriketiya beach and Dikwella just a 5-minute walk away. The host family is friendly and welcoming, making our stay enjoyable.
The breakfast experience could be improved with a wider variety of options.

Had an amazing Easter break at this lovely homestay near the beach. The room was clean and spacious, perfect for a comfortable stay. I loved the fact that there were two fans in the room, keeping it cool even during the hot weather. The breakfast served was absolutely delicious and filling, a great way to start the day. The location was ideal, with both Dickwella and Hiriketiya beach within walking distance. It was also convenient to have local restaurants nearby for tasty and affordable meals.
The only drawback was the mosquito net provided. It would be better if it covered the entire frame of the bed, as the one hanging from the ceiling often ended up touching my skin and resulted in getting bitten.

From the moment we arrived, Dineshka made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. She even helped us arrange a doctor's appointment and accompanied us to make sure we got the right medication. the room was spacious and cozy, with air conditioning and a delicious breakfast served every morning. the location was fantastic, just a short walk to both Hiriketiya and Dikwella beaches. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Cons: Nothing 🙌.

The value I got for my money at this hotel was exceptional. The room was bright, clean, and quiet, with new furniture and a private terrace overlooking a lovely garden. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to both Hiriketiya beach for surfing and Dikwella beach for swimming and relaxation. The host, Dineshka, was welcoming and even lent us a bike to explore the area.
For breakfast, I would have liked to see more variety in the food options.

I had such a wonderful stay at Abinu's Place! The hostel is new and clean, with fresh sheets and mosquito nets. The strong fans and good electricity points were a plus, as well as the reliable wifi. The two bathrooms for two hostel rooms made it convenient, and I loved the well-equipped kitchen on the top floor. The social area was great for meeting fellow travelers. I had the entire hostel upstairs to myself, which was a nice bonus. The location was perfect, with both Dirkwella and Hiriketya beach just a short walk away. The owner was incredibly helpful, assisting with my train tickets and even arranging a tuk-tuk for an early morning departure. Towels were provided, adding to the overall convenience of the stay.
I highly recommend this hotel.

I had an incredible stay at this hostel! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the cleanliness and comfort of the place. The newly opened hostel had brand new sheets, and I was pleasantly surprised to find mosquito nets and strong fans in my room. With only two hostel rooms, we had access to two clean bathrooms, which was a nice bonus. The electricity points and wifi were top-notch, allowing me to stay connected throughout my stay. The kitchen on the top floor was well-equipped, and the social area was a great place to hang out and meet other travelers. I lucked out during my stay as I had the room all to myself for two nights and was the only guest on the top floor. The breeze and views from the rooftop were jaw-dropping. The location was perfect, with both Dirkwella and Hiriketya beach less than a 7-minute walk away. The owner went above and beyond to assist me with checking my train tickets and even ordered a tuk-tuk for my early morning train. Towels were provided, along with a well-stocked kitchen. The highlight of my stay was definitely the breakfast, which was not only tasty but also varied with local dishes. The room itself was spacious and clean, and I loved the small balcony. Dineshka, the host, was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay near the beach. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The room at Abinu's Place was cozy and inviting, with a lovely balcony that offered a picturesque view. We loved having a kitchen to prepare our meals, and the private bathroom with a bidet was a nice touch. It made us feel like we were staying in a home away from home.
The fireplace in the double room was a bit unnecessary for us. While some guests may enjoy the extra warmth and ambiance, we didn't find it necessary during our stay.
